Nikola Tesla (1856-1943)

He is known for his contribution to the design of the modern Alternating Current (AC) electricity supply system.

He worked for Thomas Edison on a wide range of inventions.He also had theories on the possibility of transmission by radio waves.

It was known that Tesla and Edison were involved in a feud. Edison challenged Tesla to complete one invention for a monetary reward. Tesla was able to complete the invention but Edison did not hold up his end of the deal, angered by this Tesla stopped working for Edison and pursued his own projects, the pair would never work together again.

Tech Entrepreneur Elon Musk sites Nikola Tesla as an inspiration and has a company named after Tesla that produces Electrical Cars.
