Festivals

Every ethnic group have various characteristics which make them unique among the others.

They also celebrate festivals which are different among the various ethnic groups.

Homowo Harvest/ thanksgiving Beautiful and colourful ceremony amidst sprinkling of festive food called kpokpoi to the gods and ancestors of the Ga state. August Accra/ Ga traditional area
Fiok War festival War festival to re-enact ancient historic exploits of the Busa people. Drumming, dancing and thanksgiving to the gods of the land. December Sandema, Northern Ghana
Damba Religious festival Originally linked with the birth of Prophet Mohammed. Two days full of pageantry and horse riding September/ October Tamale/ Yendi
