The Ocean

The larger portion of the earth’s surface is covered by water. 70 percent of the earth’s surface is covered by water.

These large water bodies which surround the continents are called oceans. Though they are all interconnected, they are generally divided into five (5) oceans namely:

1. Pacific Ocean

2. Atlantic Ocean

3. Arctic Ocean

4. Indian Ocean

5. Antarctic Ocean
